Jess qualified as an occupational therapist in 2019, having studied the MSc at UEA. In a short space of time she has worked on a number of research projects. Partnering with UEA, she has worked as a Senior Research Associate on two projects exploring community involvement in palliative and end of life care. She has had work published in The Journal of Public Mental Health and has another paper pending. She has also worked with University of Hertfordshire in order to conduct a systematic review of complex care home interventions as part of the ‘DACHA’ study.  She is currently working with MSc Occupational Therapy course leaders at UEA to evaluate a novel approach to occupational therapy student placements.

Jess is keen to support AHPs and students who may be new to research to find their feet. Jess is a keen twitterer and can be found via @JessBlakeOT.
